Health Facility Guidelines
HPI pioneered the modern form of ready to use Health Facility Guidelines in current use throughout Australia and now internationally. The consistent structure, terminology and arrangement of information are now the benchmark.
Our Aims
- To be innovators in this field.
- To provide an ever growing world canvas of information, research and knowledge
- To avoid un-necessary abortive or duplicated work caused by the lack of access to high quality and free information
Our Guidelines Development
HPI commenced a program of Guidelines development when selected by the Victorian Government to create the Guidelines for Hospitals and Day Procedure Centres more than 13 years ago. The comprehensive new Guidelines format included over 56 Health Planning Units (FPUs) and hundreds of standard design components.
HPI staff have continued this essential work in creating Health Standards and Guidelines published by our international company TAHPI and now has an impressive list of customised Guidelines developed on behalf of Government bodies along with the International Health Facility Guidelines in wide use available at healthfacilityguidelines.com.
Our work in developing Health Facility Guidelines places importance on achieving health facilities that reflect best practice health care functions and procedures in a safe and appropriate environment at a reasonable facility cost. They represent patient focused, research based, modern and efficient planning principles.
